St. John United Church of Christ
On February 25, 2018, St. John UCC celebrated Reverend William Rishel's final Sunday of interim ministry with us. The congregation was treated to a performance by the Pine Haven men's Chorus which was followed by a coffee hour in honor of Pastor Bill.
The Easter Breakfast on Palm Sunday, March 25th, was enjoyed by everyone that attended. The Narthex served as an additional eating area for the over-flow crowd from the lounge
At the April 1st church service, Council President Donna Schwantes awarded Jacob Conrad & Kyle Feltes the Verna Stiefvater Memorial Scholarship.
On April 22, 2018 the Ebenezer Bell Choir performed for us during our church service.
On May 6th President Donna Schwantes presented the Frauke Fegter Pfeiffer Memorial Scholarship to Devin Schisel.
On May 20th six young people were confirmed during the worship service: Sierra Bender, Katie Belair, Mya Conrad, Emily Reif, Anna Wink and Payton Jens.
SUNDAY SCHOOL SUMMER PICNIC
St. John Christian Education hosted a Summer Picnic in the Park to introduce the community to what our Sunday School has to offer. Imaginative water games including Our Father Rainbow Hop Crawl, Directly to God, God’s Love is Unbreakable bases on bible stories were played. The fall leaves activity from the event will be featured at Rally Day. Be sure to check it out. Thank you goes out to Heidi, Monica, Michelle and Pastor Mike for putting on this event.
